Bio

Ambitious and dedicated student within the discipline of information architecture. Eager to continue my journey into tech and to improve my skill set.

I’m outgoing and social, love to work with others and win as a team. I’m also perfectly fine working by myself and tend to set my goals high. I’m open minded and curious when I solve problems. I’m rational in my work approach, prioritizing logic before emotions. I’m great at spotting opportunities during work and always pursue perfection. I work fine under stress and have no problem prioritizing.

I spend my spare time working out, socalizing, traveling or on one of my current personal projects. I love to travel and experience new people, cultures and food. I try to workout a couple of times per week and love being outdoors, in the garden/greenhouse or just exploring new places. I love to build things related to IoT. This have given me a lot of knowledge in UNIX, Python, C++ and communication. My favourite micro controllers are Raspberry Pi, arduino and ESP-32.

Project description in short

This project is planned, designed and developed by me from start until this day.

The website is built with the CMS wordpress. This to ensure easy access and management by company owner and employees. In addition it provides the website with security and excellent user management. The theme used for the website is a custom theme that I developed exclusivley for Oxåker Blomsterdekoration.

In addition to the theme a plugin was developed to manage orders, products and customers. It's a blend between CRM and a booking system. The plugin uses a lot of wordpress filters and actions. Some custom SQL tables was created to store customer, product and order data.

In addition a lot of services are used for the website, e.g. integrations with Google, Microsoft and Facebook. Integrations for analytics, map services etc. I also developed a strategy for SEO optimization and GMB.

The website is still a work in progress and development continues.

Automated greenhouse

During 2021 I did an experiment with a small greenhouse and later in 2022 I decided to expand and build a bigger greenhouse based on the same principles. A Raspberry Pi was placed in the greenhouses and recieved information from wired sensors and from battery powered sensors over wifi. The information was then transmited to a webserver though an API. The web server acted on measurements from the greenhouse and weather reports and stored messages for the Raspberry Pi that had to check for updates each time it sent a measurment to the server. When the Raspberry Pi found a message it signaled the actuators in the greenhouse (several water valves and a fan) to do thier actions. Not just did I manage to keep the plants alive, the greenhouses actually did quite well. The produced a lot of tomatoes, cucumber, peppers and more.

The webserver was built using Python's Flask framwork. The system reacted on temperature, humidity and light to determine when to activate the fan or water valve for drip iregation.

Greenhouse Readings

2022

Based on the knowledge gained from 2021, the bar for 2022 was set much higher. Bigger greenhouse, more sensors and actuators as well as greenhouse zones to cultivate different kinds of plants. The data that is being collected will be maped against weather data from that area and in the future (when I got time) hopefully be usefull to implement ML in the system to predict the inside climate and act pre conditions.

Greenhous v2

2023 defenitley exceeded my expectations. Especially when scaling so the greenhouse so much.
